Pirates vs. Fish-men

A retro fighting game select screen pits a bearded pirate captain against a snarling fish-man, split by a bolt of lightning.

Deep into the night shift, an eleven year old named Coolnicolas showed up wanting to help but unsure how. Deanharvey needed a few pixels saved for a pirate portrait and turned it into a lesson. Paste the code, find the green button, click save. The first try failed. The second worked. Coolnicolas was puzzled that their own pixel count went up, until Deanharvey explained the best part. Helping a friend still counts as painting.
