Gifts

A quilt of tiny gift paintings, where two crested songbirds share a branch near a grin floating in a glass of water.

Late at night, fredyrim quietly painted two little crested birds on a branch. Hours later manytle logged on and stopped short. Those were their birds, raised at home for almost five months. Caught in the act, fredyrim admitted it. Then manytle shared a video of birds like theirs singing. In southern Thailand, people raise them to compete in singing contests. The surprise portrait had turned into a concert.
