Matte Suminagashi

Marbled ink rings in pink, slate and gray swirl across the canvas, with a dark three-lobed blot floating at the center.

Austin asked for a canvas that would flow like ink on water. Bombadilus warned early that animating it would be hard with so many brushes. Fredyrim offered a fix borrowed from the real craft. Drop several dots of ink at once and let each painter push rings outward from their own corner. The canvas filled with spreading pools. Hours later Austin quoted that worried line back to the room. The difficulty, they said, was exactly the point.
